New remix in the making

Post by Sonic Wanderer »

Hey.

I am working on a new remix. A clip can be found here 8)

What is the original title, and is it really Galway that has made it? :?:

Let me know what you think, and if I should continue working on it!

Cheers!!!

That's Ocean Loader by Martin Galway for sure :)

I like it... It isn't exactly music I listen to normally but I still like it for what it's worth :)

Drumbeat sounds a bit tame compared to Instant Remedy. Might be it needs more compression or something, I dunno offhand. Maybe a bit laid back for a power anthem (which this is, really). Maybe you need to mess up those C64 arps a bit over time (normal filter squelching). You could also make more of that gorgeous Galway chord sequence with some floaty pads and a big anthemic build at the beginning with lots of other sequencey things playing about on the chord sequence. The clip serves up the main course too quickly when there's quite a lot of mileage in just that chord sequence.

Just random thoughts on the crapstream of life...

It probably was at some point... remember Ocean owned Imagine from 1984 onwards and published mainly arcade conversions under that label...

Denmark is close enough. Scandinavian is almost the same thing. :D

Yesh,thish shoundsh promishing Mr Wanderer!

Im a dance kid so I love hearing dance mixes of 64 tunes!!!

I actually think the kick drum sounds fine, good and thumpy without hearing the "click" at the begining, but the clap sound is a bit cliched i think!!
Maybe you could put a long flanging reverb on it to give a trancey driving sound(on the clap sound only obviously) :)

Cant wait to hear it though!!

Carry on Sir!!
