1) What makes you think they won't do different versions of the stick with different types of games? Anyway, it's _Epyx_ sports games. In a tidy nice Kempston! Doesn't that make YOU excited??

> Katarkis
Licencing problems

> Delta
Trying to licence it

> Outrun
Licencing problems

> IO
Licencing problems

> Cybernoid
Licencing problems

> Wizball
Licencing problems

> Stormlord

I thought we all knew the world isn't even remotely easy when you try and do something properly...

How true.... Im just not big on sports games is all, im into racing, shooting and fighting. I hope they do find a way to release those games (even katarkis, althought it was banned for being an r-type rip, it still rocked, think ive still got it somewhere on casette lol).

Kepmston is nice tho - glad they didnt go the way of the Konix (hand injury time), or Quickshot 2 (With ultra fast mega power turbo nutter blasting button) lol ....

Hey - heres an idea.... shove a USB port in there for a pc hook up and let us put .d64 roms of our own in :) - ahh if only.

Maybe they wanted for the stick to remain in one piece after an hours play ;)

Yeah this is very exciting - even if they just release the sports genre.
However, the product needs a bit of careful thought before they release it onto the market.
Take the Atari version. 10 games of which only half were playable - not down to the quality of game, but the control method. Why put breakout, circus atari, pong (all paddle control games) onto the damn thing ? Unplayable !
Now the C64 used to use a lot of keyboard as well as joystick controls. What happens with games that used the space bar or other key presses for actions with-in the game ? Will they build on an extra button for such things ? And I don't even want to think how they'll handle high score tables!!!

This could be really special - and good value with 30 games. I agree, I'd prefer more action based games (shoot em ups, racers, etc) but as Chris mentioned licensing issues could/will get in the way.

Fingers crossed.............and yes Makke, Activision Decathalon was the real deal !

How will they do 2 players for games like "Wizball"?

30 games is not even a drop in the ocean when it comes to volume of C64 games out there!

Not to mention the ugly joystick, I prefer my TAC2 thanks!

The kewl thing about it is that they made new c64 hardware... <img src="http://www.smiley-channel.de/grafiken/s ... /mix10.gif">

I'd love to see a shock proof c64 for outdoor gaming use, with a HD / USB interface, so you can load your favourite stuff on it. And an integrated pull-out keyboard. Yay. That would be cool. 8)

Myself? Mildly. However, if this stick is Epyx-only, I don't see it doing that well. The lack of variety will kill it. Ironically, I think what I said on Lemon may well turn out to be false: this stick *does* sort of look like it's aiming at the fan boys. If that's the case, I sincerely hope to see the Minter C64 TV stick thingamy, with all of his groovy games. Now, THAT I'd buy.

I'm definitly getting one of those. :)

Things I'd like to add to it would be a serial port, so you can change games in it, and hook more than one of them in at ones and play two player.

I didn't read the whole text about it through, so it might say something about it there that I've missed...
