Nope. Waves plugins are directX plugins, avaiable in vst through the waveshell plugin. This allow automation, but i don't think it will work in other ways.
Waves are indeed availble as VST (nothing to do with directX AFAIK, the Waveshell is in order to minimize CPU load by using core parts), TDM and AU versions.

TDM versions allow for sidechaining, VST do not, haven't checked out AU yet for good reasons!

As for Sonic Wanderer's trick, it's called "multing" as is usually done with two shifted tracks apart from the original one, but be aware of any phase-related problems, remember to check the track in mono!

Got the demo from TCWorks site.

The compressor/deesser has something to set the key for sidechaining, but it's ghosted.

There's also a sidechainer.dll plugin, that i tried as insert in other tracks (the key ones), but with no results. The settings in the compressor are still ghosted.

The demo comes without manual, and no manual on the website. :(

Any hint?

It works with TC native bundle.

Use the "KeyInput" (or "SideChain" if you have a newer version) plug for listening to the sidechain (without modifying it), and then use the compressor with the KeyInput-button active, and the little "1" beside it also active.

Good luck! This should be able to use in more creative ways than just jamming 3dB higher in general...! :D

Yep, i guessed it, but it still doesn't work.
I checked on cubase.net and the general idea is that it's not compatible with SX :-(

Thanx anyway :)

You know what? It works because it's the DX version.
VST doesn't work on SX.
