Heart of Asia / Sumo - Nice Commercial C64-Influences

Post by Zoci »

Ok, it may be too late, these are old news for some of you, but i'd like to call attention to two more or less nice commercial songs in "asia-style" (e.g. int.karate, last ninja) with c64-influences. maybe you like it too:

1. "Heart Of Asia from Watergate" an euro dance-remake of "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" ( = International Karate) from 1999. Great song, a "must hear", i love it... Here a video-link to youtube, just listen to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU217u6I6uY

2. "Sumo from EmSlice vs Denga" (= Vengeance-Music, Germany) is electro house (Last Ninja e.g.), released in may this year only as record. Producer EMSlice (Manuel Schleiss) took the classic "remixer way": c64 - amiga (fasttracker) - synthesizers. Now he produces club-sounds with many c64-influences! check "sumo"-demos out at http://www.vengeance-music.de (choose inside the flash-player, top right) or at "juno records uk" http://www.juno.co.uk/products/217412-0 ... ight=denga.

Did you like them? Heard the "hidden" commando-samples in sumo? :)
Sorry for my "hack'n'slay-english"...
