Danish Hip Hop album mixed C64 style

Post by fac »

I stumbled upon this cd the other day while I was spending time on the Internet. It is DJ Noize (Danish DJ) that has mixed Per Vers (Danish rapper) first album with C64 tracks. Apparently it consists of Per Vers original lyrics, and DJ Noizes interpretation of some C64 tracks.

Unfortunately it is only in Danish, and the only internet shop that sells this record only ship inside Denmark.

The track list is:

1. City Of Dreams mixed with RAMPAGE (© 1987 Activision/Bally Midway)
2. Brandalarm mixed with GHOST CHASER (© 1984 Artworx Software)
3. Fydlosof mixed with DRAGON NINJA (© 1989 Imagine)
4. Vagabond mixed with GHOST&GOBLINS (© 1986 Elite Software)
5. Pibekoncert mixed with BRUCE LEE (© 1983 Datasoft)
Plus additional tracks that are not related to the C64

There is more info about the record here.

It does, really, but it's so small scale there's probably nothing to achieve here. More irritating than anything else, though they did bother to credit the software companies. This is why I lobbied to change HVSC field from "copyright" to "released", because the two aren't necessarily the same thing.

Maybe we'll come to some sort of agreement to sell their stuff on C64Audio.com.

Ordered a copy today. As you say Chris, it probably sells in quite limited numbers. But doesn't all these type of releases? We have this expression in Danish: many small brooks make a big river - I don't know what the similar expression is in English?

:-)

DJ Noize is a world respected DJ (won both the official and unofficial world DJ championships).

Send me an email Chris if I can help.
