One was on Stephen King tales on SKY yesterday too. A tale of some guy who created a cure for "anger" and wound up giving the whole world altzheimers instead. They bought one for the child genius aged 8 when he became disillusioned that his fingers wouldn't write as fast as his brain was coming up with stuff.

There was one in a Red Dwarf episode - it was painted red...

The main character in a really old TV show called 'Whizkids' had one too. Does anyone have any episodes of this series - I've been looking for ages and it looks like it has been wiped from existence!

In the "Realm of the Hackers" documentary film, they're using the C64.

Another fan of the show right here - I was SO jealous of that wall of tech he had. If memory serves it was on around the time of the first run on uk tv of Airwolf along with Metal Mickey, The Two of Us, Fame, and The Happy Apple.

Do you remember the episode where he broke into a Russian defence computer with a spare ZX80 his granny had bought him for Xmas (still wrapped up, BTW)?

I think the CIA had smashed up his other computers and that's all he had access to. He took the phone apart and connected some wires to the ZX and managed to hack in...

Brilliant!

There was a movie on MST3K called Time Chasers, where the time machine was just a helicopter hooked up to a C=64. =)

At the beginning of the pilot of "The Lone Gunmen", the engineers in Chernobyl are working on '64s.
