The tombstone of Drown Inc.

Post by Romeo Knight »

Hey boys and girls,

last year my band split up, and I recorded one last song that was planned to be the first for an upcoming CD.
Well, the CD won't happen, still here's the song for those who are interested.
Visit http://www.romeoknight.net and click on the Drown Inc. chapter or download clicking the cover:

Thanks for listening. :-)

Well, a fat bit of everything. You're right, the reviews have been good but the support of the label wasn't, in fact there was no promotion at all. Additionally we couldn't get decent gigs anymore because of scheduling problems and stuff - we didn't want to drive 200 km for playing virtually unpaid in front of 10 people. Been there, done that. (It's in fact this disastrous even for a band with a nationwide release in germany). Plus internal and personal problems of several band members. Rehearsal sessions weren't fun anymore, not even solid work, they were only wasted time from a certain point on. So everything sums up to splitting up the band as the only rational solution.

People always blame artists for poor sales, when they blame should fall squarely on the record label. I guess it's because record labels have PR people to deflect the blame for them.

Great playing Eike! It's been on repeat the last half hour as a warm up to tonights' Korn gig.
