I got a load of email notifactions from admins@remix64.com this morning.

They didn't work as the url was incorrect;

The more recent ones should not have the board3 bug in them?

Ello LMan,

Another feature I've noticed (and hopefully not mentioned yet)... look at my "location" in my profile thingy to the left... it doesn't seem to be handling foreign characters properly (it's supposed to be Goteborg, with the first o being umlauted).

Just FYI :)

Hi Boz,

I believe I've read something about special chars being destroyed by the 2 -> 3 conversion. Can you try to simply re-enter it?

Kind regards

LMan: Is it normal, that unless you explicitly READ a topic that is marked as new, that the topic is marked as new? ... there are several topics I don't want to read in the "Fun" forum for example, and they are still presented as not read... it makes it hard to figure out what's new, and if I recall right, this was not how it worked before?

Now I know that technically it's true... it's marked as not read because... well they have not been read!... but they have been SEEN... and I still believe I remember that if a topic was SEEN in the older version of the forums that they would also be marked as READ?
Regards, Jess D. Skov-Nielsen (Razmo).

Can't you just press the "Mark topics read"-button?

Did not see this button! ... but yes! it works fine! ... still I believe it worked the other way I wrote earlier did it not?

Oh, really? I didn't try it actually, I just saw it was there.

Edit: Just tried it out and it seems to work fine.

"mark topics read" works for me too. Maybe the error was a glitch in the previous beta.

That behaviour is indeed different from the phpbb2 one, where signing out would mark all topics read. So it might feel uncomfortable at first, but then again it's very handy: you're not forced to read all new messages at once any more if you don't want to miss any new posts.

I used to have that problem too in the phpbb2 version of this forum: I started reading the new topics, got a phone call or something, and when I returned to the computer, I was logged off automatically due to timeout and everything was marked as read. :evil:

I like it much better the way it is now.
