Somehow I thought that GRG was behind this but that "fi" was a bit confusing. It seems to me, that GRG's lawyers have a bit more practical approach to the solution of this problem and that they might eventually be succesful with it.

Goattracker uses the same emulation as Sidplay2/w (resid engine) so it's pretty accurate. It's a bit difficult to start doing SID music without knowledge about analogue chip composing but it's not that hard with all the demo songs around.

I agree with that philosophy. Less emabarassement ahead. Althouh using C= logo doesn't automatically assure succes. Let's hope they will count with that.

I don't recognise the sid either. It sounds like genuine composition to me. It doesn't use very complicated sounds so it could be (maybe) created with some sort of sid based midi hardware/software.

I'm very sceptical about the "corporatability" ;) of the commodore tradermark by turning it to grey.. To re-establish this brand it would IMO require someone at least as hugely charismatic as Steve Jobs and I don't think they have someone like that around.
