Re: Kjell Nordbo Tribute

Yes, thanks for sharing these. Hopefully this tribute will see the daylight, having listened to a lot of Kjell's music I say he definately deserves it!

Re: age distribution and home computers

That is indeed an interesting chart analoq, probably because I'm sad enough to find such things interesting (:
I was interested enough to curl the HTML, parse it with grep and write a Python script to quantify the data to CSV. Then creating the chart in Numbers, loading it into Photoshop to ...

Re: Last C64 Game You Played?

On the real C64 the last game I played must've been Wizball. On the emulator(s), the last game I played was a duel with my friend in the game that's presented in my forum avatar, which is Cliff Hanger (and his brother Coat  ).

Ok, first of all sorry to bring this thread back up again, I can imagine there are people who'd want this topic to not be discussed.

Ok, now all that's out of the way ;), I'd just like to tell that I listened some more of Kjell's tunes, and there's this one tune I really really like and have ...

I could give you a fuller list if you like. Kjells music seems to vary from the incredibly basic, almost dated sounding (but often incredibly catchy), to these wonderful technical feats of true genius. I'm not overly familiar with the world of the c64 demo scene, but blimey, the stuff knocked my ...

Another Kjell's work that is really worth looking at is "Ghost escapes body", the disk (tape?) image has a program "My last will", which is kind of a nice read, where he tells a bit about himself. Also, sadly enough the demo intro pic also features a gravestone which reads "Kjell Nordbo 1975 ...

Could well work with fully integrated virtual studios like Reason, but as soon as you employ any kind of MIDI application, you'll most likely run into severe timing and latency problems... I guess there's only one way to find out. :o

Having fiddled around a bit with the virtualization, I'd have ...

I believe his last work was "Larger than life (smaller than death)", with an intro pic that probably shocked many of his friends who received it. It is downloadable at:

with notes from his friend who received the disk, full of load errors, but was able ...

Rob Hubbard to compose music for Pinball Dreaming

Just read this newsitem; Rob Hubbard is going to compose music for this game made by a Finnish company which developes mobile software. He is also going to implement a special "jukebox" feature for the game. Hope this is not old news for you guys.

Here's the original link where I read about it ...

Auf Wiedersehn Monty

I don't know if anyone's up for the job as this isn't the least remixed tune there is, but the thing is that this tune has a special place in my heart as I absolutely loved the music when I was a kid. I must admit that I first heard the tune on MSX(!) but later on I played it on C64 too. The thing ...

I enjoyed the music in all three games of the Hitman series, and the games weren't too bad either. Pretty atmospheric games in fact.
