Hi,
I was wondering if the measurements in terms of loudness and BPM after uploading a submission are right. I'm using Youlean Loudness Meter in my DAW to measure LUFS and TP, but those values are different than shown on Amigaremix. According to my loudness meter my current submission has got -9 LUFS and a TP of -1, but on Amigaremix it's shown as -8 LUFS and +0.2 TP. The tune has got 150 BPM, but according to Amigaremix it's 100 BPM. How come?

I guess I should add a disclaimer that these are highly approximated and it completely depends on the type of music and analysis chosen. The method I'm using on the site has proven to give quite decent results but sometimes it b0rks up a bit, so I'm sure that your tool is probably more exact. :) When I have the time I'll make sure to underline the fact that it is an approximated value. :) When implementing it I used Youlean as a reference, so it should be quite decent, but as mentioned, it can definitely depend. :) Also, have you tried running Youlean on the MP3? That definitely can change things up. I haven't got my Youlean installed right now since I've switched machines, but the analysis tool in Ocenaudio gives the numbers that I have on amigaremix.com.

Oh, and the BPM calculation is even harder to count on, tbh, since it's a really generic way of counting...

I now installed Youlean Loudness Meter 2 Pro and tried it on your mp3. It gives me -8.0 Integrated LUFS and a True Peak Max at +0.1 dB. So yes, AmigaRemix.com is correct there. The BPM is another story, as said. :)

Hm, that's strange, but you're right. I've measured the rendered file with the standalone version of Youlean 2 and it's -8.1 LUFS and +0.4 TP. Within the DAW it's -9 LUFS and -1 TP. Very odd. Out of curiosity I've also measured some "professional productions" with the standalone of Youlean 2, and the values are similar, TP always mostly around +1 and LUFS between -8 and -9. I wonder what could cause this. It should be the same value, no matter if internal or external measurement, right?

I gather it has to do with the MP3 compression, simply enough. There are always frequency sacrifices when using lossy encoding, so I guess it makes sense.

Just for the record, it affects MP3 and Wave as well. TP differs by 1.2 dB up to 1.4 dB in comparison of internal and external measurement. But I've managed to get almost the same LUFS value, there was a false gain setting in the master track for whatever reason. So the loudness measurement by Amigaremix is right, only the results in terms of BPM measurement are wrong. :)
