As announced late last year, the FastLoaders will yet again organize a BIT LIVE! party in 2025, this time as part of the Play! Festival in Bergen, Norway. It will be hosted in the city's most prestigious venue, Grieghallen, in the heart of the city.

The full program is yet to be announced, but there will be live performances, remix competition, SID Dj's, and SLAY Radio will be there, too. The FastLoaders themselves will also perform on stage with a set of old and new renditions from their massive discography.

"Amiga 40" by Allister Brimble

12/08/2025

Hi all, I'm very excited to release my new album which is a tribute to 40 years of the Amiga, an extraordinary machine that shaped so much of my creative life.

It also honours Martyn Brown, whose encouragement opened the door to game music for me. His work with Team17 defined an era, and I owe much of my path to his belief in what I could do.

One track, ST-01, is something I’ve wanted to create for decades: a full remake of the original SoundTracker instruments. I’ve gone back to the source samples, reworking and restoring them with care, trying to capture not just the sound, but the feeling of those early days.

This album is for anyone who remembers the thrill of booting up Workbench, the joy of discovering new mods, and the magic of making music on a machine that felt like it truly understood you.

I hope it brings back some of that wonder.

Visa Röster - Commodore 64 Vocally 1

Commodore 64 Vocally

by Visa Röster

Visa Roster stunned the crowd at Copenhagen and Back in Time Live Retro Concerts, to firmly establish themselves as crowd favourites. This is the CD they released at Back in Time Live St. Luke's in 2004, full of favourite tunes done in the style only they can do. Highlights include the transcendent Armagaddon Man, and the playfulness of International Karate.

Listening Recommendation

Monty on the Run (Monty Gets Orchestrated 2011)

Arranged by Peter Clarke

I've heard many renditions of this particular C64 anthem and in my opinion, Chris Abbot has held the Monty remix crown for a long time. This little beauty, however, resets the bar. The original is here in full, nothing left out, nothing missed, nothing misinterpreted. The orchestral instruments weave together brilliantly even if the samples are not as authentic as some I've heard. In the first half of this remix, we get a little closer to The Devil's Gallop which Rob Hubbard admits to being influenced by in his original. I love the way the brass crescendos parp parp in from the background and the melodramatic feel the strings give in the early bars. In the second half, we go back to an 80's underground club with the driving bass and Fender Rhodes licks, but no Hammond that I can hear. The whole feel of the break has a bit of a Supertramp thing about it and now the end guitar riffs remind me even more of Dire Straits, (from RH's home town). Brilliantly arranged and executed and would have been three reds but for the flat mix. Perhaps the arranger will warm it up and resubmit it. Overall, an excellent remix

To Be On Top - Tune 2 (Smooth Earcandy Edit)

Arranged by Sonic Wanderer

It is more electronic than I expected it to be from the title, a very pleasant, or as the title says, smooth remix. But I feel it digresses from the original too much and thus I feel no real connection to this piece any more. Key portions of the original were left out completely, so for me this otherwise good remix lost its appeal.

Test Drive 2 (Chill Out Edit)

Arranged by Dr Future

It's a good remix, reminds me the last rendez-vous of Jean Michel Jarre in his album Rendez-vous.
