Sugar, there's enough music here to wallpaper a moon - whatever the f---k that means! I promise, this will all become clear once you start watching this episode (maybe). Bottom line is, with 38 (!) releases on RKO and AmigaRemix in November there are plenty of new remixes to listen to!

Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 Voting Closes Jan 18th

This is a friendly reminder that voting for the Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 awards closes on Sunday, January 18, 2026. If you haven't done so, yet, you have until then to vote for your favorite remixes and remixers.

And if you can't remember all the wonderful remixes that were released in 2025, listen to snippets from each of them in the Remix News episodes that were released monthly. (November and December episodes are coming shortly, too.) That's roughly 3+ hours of music to get through, but much less than listening to all the releases in their entirety.

Remember to enter a vote for each of the remixes and remixers you want to nominate in a given category, not just one! Every single nomination will count towards the final totals.

Today Matt Gray has delivered a Christmas treat for us: a brand‑new preview track from his upcoming Reformation 5 album. This latest release is an epic re‑imagining of Rob Hubbard’s legendary Commando.
Just a couple of weeks earlier, Gray unveiled the album’s first preview, a powerful remix of Martin Galway’s Arkanoid. If you missed that one, it’s definitely worth a listen.

No wonder this won SLAY Radio's Árok Tribute Remix compo in 2020! An absolutely stunning piece done in a duet format where the synthy parts are answered by string-heavy sections and vice versa. That melody line is what really catches me out every time - it's full of emotional subtlety, so delicate, yet, so powerful. The instrument selection, the arrangement, the mixing - all as close to perfection as they can get. Top-notch production all around!

Cybernoid 2 (Pede Cyber Mix)

Impressive production quality of this 6:35 long dance-remix with regard to quality of sounds and richness in sound. Even the stutter-rap at the beginning fits well. If I could suggest an improvement, I would replace the piano in the lead with a more obvious instrument. The piano is about the only thing that doesn't work perfectly and in the lead sounds unexpected. In the accompany it fits very good.

I love the twist on the original track. The original was and still is one of my all time Amiga tracks, and this really does it justice. This track has taken all the key elements of the original and remixed them into a smoth but incredibly catchy track. Very well done!!! if your up for a challenge Id love to hear a version of this thats more a remake in this style, but like for like, I know that would be a good mix! 😊
