Zzap! 64 Scan CDs

Post by sem »

Hi,

Anyone got and can comment on the Zzap! or Crash scan cds/dvds available from zzap64.co.uk?

Are they any good? Do they have all the pages or some of the pages?

Just thought about getting them and am fishing for opinions.

Cheers, sem.

The scan DVDs are amazing - they feature .jpg versions of absolutely every page from every issue of each mag that was produced - they really are *complete* - you also get scans of all the posters, freebies, covertapes - everything. The scans are also the perfect size to be readable on the screen - each page is approx two screens high.

And you can order them http://www.binaryzone.org too. :)

(Mort's new Games Machine scans DVD will be added to the site next week) :D

They're fab mate, I bought them all off the guy in the Brighton Bit Live, and it was SUCH a nostalgia trip looking through them! It really made me realise how PANTS mags are nowerdays!

Ouch - thanks for saving my bacon Chris. How could I forget the lovely man who compiled the Street Hawk music source ....

Oh, how're the other "Project.." cds/dvds coming along?

Well, Project Hubbard had to be postponed for a while, and I haven't heard anything from Paul Norman for ages. I guess they'll happen when they happen.

So what were the plans for Projct Hubbard then ifGalway's USP was Streethawk and using Martin's own sid chip? Oh, and I guess Norman was going to contain a lot of non-sid stuff?

Cheers, Sem.

Project Hubbard would have "orchestral Kentilla" as well as crispy clear SIDs. Rob Hubbard's SID is long gone, and he didn't use the filter as often as Martin did, so that's less important.
