Escape from new york 2006

Post by gibs »

This is a cover from the John Carpenter Movie "Escape From New York 1997"
A level of the incoming shoot them up game is a tribute the this movie, so Avoriaz asked me to do a metal cover of this music.
Here is the result

Mmm, not bad! I love John Carpenter music. :D

A few wayward notes in there, but a nice cover nonetheless. :)

Reminds me of the more rockier Escape From L.A. theme (shame the movie was such pap though).

"Call me Snake". 8)

Exactly. I'm still searching for the L.A. version on CD - any idea? All Carpenter compilations only have the N.Y. version.
I keep that crappy movie (the surfing scene - OMG! ) on my TV-receiver HD only to listen to the opening credits music from time to time...
