Jeroen Tel (WAVE) - Stranglehold

Post by skitz »

Hello,

This still needs a bit of work especially on the mastering and EQ which I am completely lost on recently... :(

The original WAVE (Jeroen Tel) XM is located here: http://modarchive.org/index.php?request ... uery=46508

My Remix is here: http://www.djskitz.com/mp3/DJ_Skitz_-_S ... ld-WIP.mp3

Let me know what you think of this basic dance remix?

Hmm, a bit slow for a dance track. and with the instruments it sounds more like a track to chill... :)

What a give away that you only listened to the first 30 seconds!!! :) The intro bit runs at half-speed as the original from 50seconds on it jumps into danceyness..

In fact the more I think about it I will most likely remove the drums completely from the intro part so not to confuse people :)

Ok, guess you are right but then again I was never good with Genre.

I'll call it the "Whatev' Remix"

Maybe you should speed the second part a bit up (the "put your helmets on..." thingy  )

Then add some gated pads, bassarps and fatter kick et voila...

Maybe i just talking shit because im a complete idiot or maybe it will work... :duh:

aye its laid back but a sped up version of it wouldnt work not in the form its in now too much "lead" to be a straight balls out dance track. works well to me as it is.

theres a few clashing notes, the bell lead has a habit of going "right up there son!" and hurting the ears but that ofc is the eq thing so with a bit of tidying up this could be a nice little sitter.

Hmmm I think Infamous has said what I was going to say, so I can concur on his points.

That god damned bunk bunk bunk bunk chav organ/bass noise has got to go its godawful and doesnt fit one bit and if you listen back its seriously out of tune in places.

I think the best question to ask you now is what do you want to do with this song? make it an "unz" track or keep it as a more laid back theme?
