Let's code best c64 games on PC.

Post by ViktorOrban »

Hi Every1!

I don't really understand, why programmers did not write great c64 games -like Barbarian or International Karate- on PC yet?
I don't want 3D games, I just want to play International Karate on my PC, with PC gfx and techs, with my joystick. I want to cut heads with Barbarian, when comes 32 chanels music from my soundset, and comes 32bit colors from my 19" monitor screen with 100Hz screenfreshing.
Is it a too big request???
This is short list of games I would see with warm heart on my PC:
- International Karate
- Barbarian
- Krakout
- Last Ninja
- Eagles Empire
- Airwolf
- Archon
- Bounces
- Comic Bakery
- Enigma Force
- Scramble
- Etc...

What is your list?

Several of those games are available in some form or other for PC. Some are straight remakes, while others have "improved" graphics. Just search the Web for retro games remakes or something like that.

I saw Barbarian's straight remake on PC. It was a shit. It was a worsen version than C64 version.

If you can tell me where I'll find Barbarian's Not-Straight remake on the net?

Uhm... yes, MULE was cloned in SUBTRADE, wasn't it ? Wasn't a good clone.
A straight new "classic" MULE (I don't care for so much for better graphics) with a really good support for two to four PC-joysticks would work for me just fine... :)
