Have you tried Grungelizer?

Post by nada »

I recently discovered a wicked vst effect in Cubase. It's called Grungelizer and it helps you making the sound more retro by adding hiss, hum, clicks and pops. It even has a time range switch that emulates recorded sounds from 1900 till today. Fans of RJD2 (my fav he is), DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff and the like, will find it really useful.

I sometimes use it for commercial productions.
If you kill the hum and noise, the eq and time range parameters make a good "old radio" or "megaphone" effect on voices (combined with some other plugins).
