BIT Live 2026 Schedule

The schedule for the Commodore remix event of the year better known as BIT Live 2026 has been posted, and it's quite a doozy! There will be performances by Double Score Dungeon, NecroPolo, Jeroen Tel, Linus Åkesson (lft), and, of course, by FastLoaders! Ziona will also play a DJ set, there will be a C64 Café with SID music, and in-between SLAY Radio will be playing remixes on-site (they also plan to stream the entire event online). If you are still on the fence about attending, this lineup should convince you to buy your tickets now!

I would like to know what's in the water in Norway, because it seems that almost every remix submitted from that country is of incredibly high quality!The intro of this remix sounds like 4 different sample loops mixed together - I don't know if that's the case, but not that it matters, because once that piano lead floats in, I am already melting. And when the beautiful vocal replaces the piano, I feel like I am floating towards heaven.This remix really hits a soft spot in me. Actually, it's more like it caresses a soft spot in me. The violin, the strings, the singer, the soft drum rhythm - it all feels just right. Whether they're sample loops or not - who cares. Eivind managed to create a wonderfully emotional piece out of DRAX's relatively short SID piece. Bravo! 👏👏👏 And thanks for sharing it with us! 👍PS: Haha, yes, it is funny that a song with sax in its title has no sax in it. 😁

Remixer of the Year Awards 2025 - Results

The Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 awards was broadcast on February 21, 2026, hosted by Slaygon, ziona and Boz. A quick recap by LaLa below: --- The traditional month-by-month highlights were interspersed with the announcements of the winners in the various categories: * The Best Newcomer award was won by Thomas Bendt! Although he was new to the remix scene in 2025, he's already been well known on the SID scene before that as Scortia. * In the Best Veteran category Tim Forsyth edged out Marcel, Makke, Dr Future and Jogeir who rounded out the top 5. * The title of the Best Amiga Remix went to Jogeir's Cruisin, which was also the winner of the BIT Live 2025 Remix Compo. Second place went to UwU KAOS by hyperunknown, and third to Apidya (End Credits) by Tim Forsyth. * The award for the Best C64 Remix was won by V. Kaufmann with Wizball ShapedSigns by quite a margin. Thomas Bendt won second place with his Ghosts'n Goblins tune, and third by Tim Forsyth with his excellent rendition of Dan Dare 3. * A Special Achievement with the title Beyond Lifetime Award was given to the late Peter Clarke, who has been a steadfast supporter of the remix scene both in the public and behind the scenes. His award was introduced with an exclusive posthumous track from the Encore 500 volume 2 album, which is Pete's remix of Giana Sisters, completed by his friends in the Encore team. * Finally, the much anticipated Remixer of the Year 2025 yet again went to Eivind Sommersten for the second year in a row! --- A huge thank you to everyone who contributed with releases on Remix.Kwed.Org and Amigaremix.com, and everyone who listened, voted and gave feedback to all the artists! Also a big thank you to the following, without which the Award Show would not have happened: * Marcel - Intro jingle & Category jingles * Boz - co-hosting and simulcasting * Slaygon - co-hosting * Ziona - co-hosting * LMan - Remix64 stage hand * Ziphoid - simulcasting * LaLa - Award show prep!
