I didn't say they were the perfect company, but I certainly don't think they deserve to be described as "bullshit"! synSONIQ Records have done a lot in terms of giving game music the respect it deserves. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to get in touch with them about the "Remi...

>... very good ... this store is bullshit anyway Hmmm... what makes you say that, Mr. Weling? Unhappy with their product line? Didn't get a CD you ordered from them? I wonder. I found them to be very reliable as a customer and highly supportive when working on the "Immortal 2" project. syn...

Michael Kamen is dead

Dear friends, I just learned that one of Hollywood's greatest composers died only a few days ago: Michael Kamen composed the music for many famous movies such as The Iron Giant, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which earned him an Oscar nomination. He died on November 18th ...

In his latest newsletter, Bjorn Lynne grants a sneak peak at his work for the upcoming "Immortal 3" album: "while on the subject of old-school remixes, I have myself done a remix of my very first paid music job. That was the Amiga game 'Brat' for which I made the music back in 1989 or...

Early Works

OK, here's something from my archives... not really the first stuff I EVER recorded on tape, but I'll spare you that material - I don't think it would be more pleasant than a recording of somebody's first piano lesson anyway. However, I made an mp3 with snippets of some pretty old recordings I did b...

Japanese Atari soundtracks

Just found out that the Japanese label Scitron Digital will release two CDs that might be interesting for die-hard Atari fans this December - the music is not from ST games (although I bet a bunch of these titles were converted to the ST as well), but from popular Atari arcade machines. Featured gam...

You can pick up the original soundtrack by David Whittaker at the Unexotica database. I suggest you download the Deliplayer if you haven't got that one already - plays almost every Amiga sound format.

Supercars 2

There's a good chance that some music from "Supercars 2" will be featured on the upcoming third volume in the "Immortal" CD series! :D Head over to the events board and get the details...

Announcement: Immortal 3

With the Atari ST finally getting honored with a tribute album and lots of new C64 remix CDs and DVDs on the agenda, I hope Amiga fans will be pleased to hear that a new chapter in the "Immortal" series is in the works as well. I don't want to give away too much at this point, but here is ...

Good work there, Sherlock! 8) I'm well impressed, although it won't change my verdict for "In The Mix" as a whole... personally, I didn't think it was THAT bad after all - but if you consider that it was released by a "real" publisher, got a single release (Giana Sisters) on CD a...

Yes, it's really the same version - in fact, the ZYX guys didn't even re-record it, but put the mp3 version on the CD which was freely available on the net: if you listen carefully you'll notice compression noises in the mp3. Exactly the same noises are heard on the CD - certainly one of the reasons...

Just for the sake of completeness: the "Turrican 2" track by Nebularia was in fact released on the "Chris Hülsbeck In The Mix" album (published by ZYX Music in 2000), so it actually appeared on a Hülsbeck CD in the end.

I recorded almost the complete concert on tape - audio quality is OK for the SID80's tracks, but not as good as described above, so maybe somebody else has made a better recording... if you'd still like a copy, drop me a line and I'll be happy to help out.

It worked fine for me here in Germany...

Thank you very much for the webcast! I thought that was a nice idea and I was able to enjoy the concert that way - while the picture quality wasn't too good (don't want to complain, just mentioning it), it was still cool to see Rob Hubbard playing the piano, even if he was just a bunch of pixels at ...

Talking about those great journalists out there - there recently was an article about the "Immortal 2" album in a German printmag, where they didn't even manage to spell the album title correctly. In addition to that, they re-named "Shadow of the Beast" into "Show of the Bea...
