Story

My homage to Martin Galway's fantastic music from Rambo Part II on the C64.

This is my first attempt at mixing a c64 tune, and I chose this due to the sheer amount of time I spent playing it and feel the tune is ingrained in my memory.

Do We Get To Win This Time?

Rambo is a 1985 video game based on the film Rambo: First Blood Part II. It was produced by Platinum Productions and published by Ocean Software for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and Commodore 64.

The Commodore 64 version's music is by Martin Galway, incorporating melodies from the film's score.

Several other games based on the film were also released, including Rambo for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and Rambo: First Blood Part II for the Sega Master System.

Thank you all for taking the time to listen and comment (good and bad) I've learnt a lot from your comments and will put them to good use in my next track.

The Pad sound is a little bit too dominating. Mixing could've been better. Good idea with the speech-samples, tho.
There's a lot of potential here, not bad for a first try, but the instrumentation really brings it down. Most of them sound lifeless. The mixing could be better, too, it's almost like everything is playing at the same volume level.
Where is the big knife?;)
I don't get it? The music on your website is fantastic but this sounds so average...
The first 21 seconds are quite nice, but then it seems somehow unfinished.
Well, the voices are nice - BUT that´s all... Terrible!
Intro was promising, drums leading. In came the hi-hats, and ruined the drums. Speech samples ok, some unpolished transitions here and there. Overall average with tendency to good. BTW: the outtro noises sound like wet farts... Needs a little rework.
Not a bad first run, it has promising ideas. The first dosens of seconds completely got it but it loses grip afterwards. Maybe it tries to grip too much and lose direction as mixing becomes little chaotic later on. Good luck for the next track!
Exciting until 0:23, but then the buildup is wasted.
Guys, PLEASE! Could someone finally do a _decent_ mix of this GREAT tune after all? O/ Would be soooo awesome! :-) Thanx in advance...
MIDI-tastic sounding.
Ok, maybe the execution is a little sub-par in places but there are also some good ideas and the quality of the original tune lifts this to "good" anyway.
Love it! Feels like you need to run but you are in a tar pit barely moving.
