Story
Hades Nebula was always one of my favorite C64-games. At least, it was in the old days.
The soundtrack always meant a lot to me, to the extent that I made a .MOD-cover of subtune 3 once.

With this reworking of the title-music I have tried to bring the feel into a modern, electronic, ambient piece, with distant drums and sweeping synths.
I always try to keep part of the original preserved, which is why I sampled the bassline and the lead from the original. Unfortunately, I used an Amiga SID-player that doesn't handle filters well, so the filters in the bass are missing.

This cover has lots of potential, unfortunately most of it is not used fully. The ambience it tries to create is a good idea, but is disturbed by brushy drums - those should`ve been marching drums, anyway. The cheesy bass further destroys the ambience. Again, not bad, but could`ve been a lot better.
