I like the idea behind the remix, but the distorted sounds are appalling/terrible/horrible and a lot of other negative words.

Sorry :( But this is absolutely not my taste. I skipped it at 2:22... Maybe after that is someone that ears could enjoy...
I can see why you did what you did (as the original subtune 1 is weird anyway), but this is truely an assault on the ears.
The idea is not hopeless, but you need to find a better way to balance those disorted sounds into a melody. Listen some more to Aphex Twin or My-ziq.

Experimental stuff is really binary for me. Either it's top, or rock bottom. Unfortunately this is the latter. Nothing works in this song. I hope this was piss-take, or else a lot more practice is needed.
Distortion overdose and I really don't like the instruments
